SPS Transition to Distance Learning

Stigler Public Schools will be transitioning to Distance Learning beginning Friday, January 15, 2021 through Tuesday, January 19, 2021 with a planned return of Wednesday, January 20, 2021. As always, we look at our local school community COVID numbers, and the increased number of COVID cases and/or quarantines has increased, resulting in this decision.

High School & Junior High Basketball Updates

High School: Week of January 18th: All HS girls basketball games will be cancelled this week. Boys will play Tuesday, January 19th against Warner @ Home. JV starts at 5:00 and HS starts at 6:30.

Basketball Admission 2021

Starting this week, January 11th 2021, the Black Diamond Conference will begin using an entry card based attendance policy at all high school basketball games. These cards will be given to the student athletes, who will then disperse them to family, friends, etc. These cards must be present in order to purchase a ticket at the gate once you arrive to the game. These cards should be kept for the duration of the basketball season and used for admittance into each game. The conference will continue to administer temperature checks at the ticket gates along with encouraging attendants to wear masks and practice social distancing.

”All games excluding Pocola card”-this card allows the purchase of a ticket to get into every Black Diamond Conference high school basketball game except for games at Pocola.

“All games card”-this card allows the purchase of a ticket to get into a Black Diamond Conference high school basaketball game including games at Pocola.

  • Because of the size of the venue at Pocola, only “all schools” entry card will be honored there.

  • Covid protocal will follow the Black Diamond Conference guidelines.
